Snow has been falling here all day. With the exception of a few bursts, it has been fairly light. We currently have around 6″ as snow continues to fall. Here’s a recent image from our webcam. I think that is the most snow that we have seen on the snow stake all season.

January Thaw 1/13/14
Today was another mild day for mid January with a high temperature of 40.9° here in Island Pond. The forecast is calling for the mild weather to continue most of the week. It is supposed to cool off a little bit by Thursday, but high temps will still be on the mild side in the lower 30’s. Hopefully we will get a decent snow storm soon so the ski slopes and snowmobile trails can get back in good shape.
I’ll end this post with a recent photo from the webcam showing the little bit of snow that’s still on the ground in Island Pond, VT.

Yesterday was a wet day throughout the NEK. It started out with freezing rain and quickly changed to rain as temps shot up to 50 degrees. Today is a little more winter like with flurries and light snow falling with a temp of 32°.
