It was a white Thanksgiving Day here in Island Pond. We awoke to 3″ of fresh snow yesterday morning. It was lightly snowing / flurries for most of the morning. With the fresh coating of snow temps dropped back in to the single numbers this morning, It has been mostly sunny today with highs in the upper teens. I’ll end this post with an image from the webcam this afternoon.

Well, we’ve had a mixed bag of weather over the past 24 hours. It started out with light snow yesterday afternoon / evening. We had piked up around 3″ of snow by the time I turned in last night. When I got up at 6am it had already changed to rain. Rain fell most of the day. Late this afternoon it changed to a mix of sleet and freezing rain. Shortly after it changed to snow. It’s currently snowing lightly at 7:45 while writing this blog post. The forecast is calling for 1-3 inches of snow overnight.
I was able to getthe webcam up yesterday and it is uploading to the internet. You can view the live image by pointing your browser here:
I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving tomorrow!

After a few days of warm weather a cold front came through last night. Today is much colder and blustery with flurries in the air. The current temp at 12:30 PM is 28 degrees.
I’ve still got some work to do on the website, but I have got the forecast page up and it can be found here http://nekwx.com/weather/forecast.php The cable for the webcam should arrive in the next couple of days and I hope to have it up and running by the weekend.
