A friend of mine that has a drone that lives near Coles Pond in Walden, VT made the video below today of the fall foliage in his area. Keep in mind the elevation of Coles Pond as around 2200 feet. I should have another aerial video showing how the leaves are progressing in the Island Pond area tomorrow.
With peak foliage here in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont just around the corner I thought I would do a quick update on how things are going. The last two mornings my weather station has recorded low temps of around 40°F. A friend of mine in Walden, VT recorded a low of 37°F yesterday morning.

The forecast is calling for the coldest air of the season later in the week. There was even some talk of a chance of frost in the cooler mountain valleys Thursday morning. Here’s the NWS five day forecast for Island Pond, VT
