As I write this quick blog post @12:30pm, the current temperature in Island Pond is 66°.

I hope everyone has a fun and safe Labor Day Weekend in the NEK.! Get out there and enjoy what’s left of summer. Fall truly is just around the corner.

Back to a Fall feel

After several warm summer days in the NEK we are back to cooler weather. Today has only warmed up to 63° so far. In Island Pond, and I doubt it will get much higher today. Tonight’s lows are forecast to be in the 40s to low 50s throughout the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont.  Tomorrow should rebound to the mid 60s to low 70s The upcoming Labor Day weekend doesn’t look to be a complete washout,  but will be unsettled with a chance of showers.

Hard to believe it’s Labor Day already. In just 4 more weeks the region should be ablaze in near peek foliage. As you can see in our webcam image below, we even have a few birch leaves dropping on the lawn in the foreground.
