The foliage season here in the Northeast Kingdom has been slow to progress this year. I’m sure the warm fall weather has had something to do with it. Last year at this time the foliage was at or very near peak here in the NEK. The 2.5″ of rain over the past few days had kept me from going out to see how the leaves were coming along. So, when the sun came out today I jumped in the car to do a little leaf peeping.
The colors are still very green in some areas.
Still lots of green on Darling Hill Road in East Burke.
Other areas are coming along nicely with some vibrant colors to be seen.
Bald Hill Pond in Westmore, VT is showing a little color
Jobs Pond in Westmore, VT is also coming along nice.
