Fall Foliage Update From Island Pond 9/21/16

I just wanted to post a quick photo taken on Rte 114 in Island Pond yesterday, 9/21/16. Cooler temperatures are in the forecast for the upcoming weekend. The colder temps should help get the colors to improve with each passing day. I’m going to try to get the drone in the air later today to get some video and photos of the fall foliage.

We are starting to see the foliage brighten up here in the Northeast Kingdom of VT.

First frost of the season

It’s been chilly here in  northern VT the past couple of mornings. Yesterday, September 15, 2016, my weather station recorded a low temperature of 40°F. This morning was even cooler and produced the first frost of the season in many locations in the Northeast Kingdom of VT and Northern NH. The low temperature here in Island Pond was a chilly 33.8°F.
